Q&A
Can stretch marks improve with treatment?
Why do stretch marks form?
When skin stretches quickly due to pregnancy or rapid weight change, collagen and elastin fibers in the dermis break, forming stretch marks. Broken fibers do not repair well on their own, so regenerative treatment is needed.
Are red and white stretch marks treated differently?
Red stretch marks are an early stage with remaining inflammation and vessels, so they respond relatively well; white stretch marks are scarred and need more consistent regenerative treatment. If sagging is present, elasticity care is added.
How are they treated?
Double Tight, an RF needling device, cuts the shortened fiber bands while delivering heat, and collagen boosters such as growth factors and PN are injected together to stimulate dermal regeneration.
How many treatments are needed?
It depends on the stage and extent; usually several treatments at intervals. Older stretch marks may need more sessions.
What about pain and recovery?
Often only numbing cream is needed, and with little surface damage you can resume daily life right away. Temporary redness may occur.
Who should not have stretch mark treatment?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have inflammation or wounds in the treatment area, or have had a hypersensitivity reaction to the same ingredient, treatment should be postponed or another option considered. Please tell us about your medication and medical history during consultation. Please tell us in advance if you are prone to keloids.
When can I start after giving birth?
It is usually started after your body has recovered and breastfeeding has ended. Starting at the red stretch mark stage tends to give better responses, so timing is decided together during consultation.
Which areas can be treated?
Most areas with stretch marks, including the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, breasts and arms. Treatment time and number of sessions vary with area and extent.
The number of sessions, duration of results and recovery time vary depending on individual skin condition. Details will be explained after consultation.
