Q&A
What should I know before SKINVIVE?
What is SKINVIVE?
SKINVIVE is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel containing lidocaine, injected in microdrops to improve hydration, glow and texture. It is a skin booster for skin quality, not a filler for changing contours.
How long does it last?
Duration depends on your skin and lifestyle; it is designed to last relatively longer than typical hydrating injections. A precise maintenance plan is explained during consultation.
How is the treatment performed?
After cleansing and numbing, small amounts are evenly injected into areas such as the cheeks. The product itself contains an anesthetic, which helps reduce discomfort.
What is the recovery period?
Redness, small bumps, slight bruising and swelling may appear but mostly settle within a few days. Schedule with some leeway before important events.
What are the aftercare instructions?
Avoid makeup and strong stimulation on the day, and avoid saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise for a few days. Do not press or rub the injected areas.
Who should not have SKINVIVE?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have inflammation or wounds in the treatment area, or have had a hypersensitivity reaction to the same ingredient, treatment should be postponed or another option considered. Please tell us about your medication and medical history during consultation. Be sure to tell us if you have ever reacted to local anesthetics such as lidocaine.
How long does the treatment take?
Usually about an hour including cleansing and numbing; the injection itself is quick. Time varies with the area.
The number of sessions, duration of results and recovery time vary depending on individual skin condition. Details will be explained after consultation.
