Q&A
How are scars, pores and stretch marks treated?
Can depressed scars improve?
Depressed scars mean the dermal structure has collapsed, so they do not disappear at once, but repeated regenerative treatment can gradually soften their depth and edges. We stimulate new tissue with fractional laser and support recovery with regenerative injections.
Which lasers are used?
Fractional laser for scars and pores, anti-pigmentation laser to prevent pigmentation that may occur during treatment, and collagen-stimulating laser to restore skin thickness and elasticity — combined according to your concern.
How are enlarged pores managed?
Pores are affected by both sebum production and reduced dermal elasticity. We combine sebum-control care with elasticity lasers to restore the support structure around the pores.
How many treatments are needed?
It depends on scar depth and how fast your skin regenerates; usually several treatments are done several weeks apart. Giving the skin enough time to recover between treatments is important for results.
What is recovery like?
Depending on laser intensity, redness, tiny scabs and dryness may appear for a few days. During this time, moisturize and protect from the sun thoroughly, and do not pick at scabs.
Are stretch marks treated the same way?
Stretch marks are treated with skin-regenerating lasers combined with pigmentation-suppressing lasers. The approach differs for red and white stretch marks, so we assess them before planning.
Can I treat scars while I still have acne?
When inflammatory acne is active, calming the acne comes before scar treatment. Starting scar treatment after inflammation settles leads to faster recovery and a lower risk of pigmentation.
Which season is best for scar treatment?
When UV is strong, the risk of post-treatment pigmentation can increase, so many people start in autumn and winter. Treatment is possible in other seasons with thorough sun protection.
The number of sessions, duration of results and recovery time vary depending on individual skin condition. Details will be explained after consultation.
