Face contouring — where should I start?
How is face contouring planned?
We first assess facial proportions, hollow and protruding areas, and skin elasticity together. Then we decide the combination in this order: fill where volume is needed, reduce excess muscle or fat, and lift what has sagged.
How do filler, Sculptra and Juvelook differ?
Filler adds volume immediately, while Sculptra and Juvelook stimulate collagen so volume builds gradually. We choose or combine them depending on whether you need quick change or prefer a natural one.
How can a square jaw be slimmed?
If a developed masseter muscle makes the jaw square, muscle Botox reduces its volume to refine the face line. This must be distinguished from a wide jawbone, so we first identify the cause by examination.
What lifting options are there?
HIFU lifts the deep layers, radiofrequency stimulates dermal collagen, and thread lifts pull sagging tissue directly. We choose one or combine them based on the degree of sagging and skin thickness.
Can I have several treatments at once?
Depending on the area and treatment, many can be done on the same day. Swelling and recovery may overlap, so schedule and priorities are decided during consultation.
How long do face contouring results last?
It depends on the treatment: fillers last several months to over a year, Botox usually 3–6 months, and collagen-stimulating treatments and lifting often several months to about a year, with individual variation.
How long does swelling last?
Botox causes little swelling, while fillers and thread lifts may cause swelling or bruising for a few days to 1–2 weeks. Allow about two weeks before important events.
Who should not have face contouring treatments?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have inflammation or wounds in the treatment area, or have had a hypersensitivity reaction to the same ingredient, treatment should be postponed or another option considered. Please tell us about your medication and medical history during consultation.
