Q&A
What should I know before Rejuran i?
How many Rejuran i sessions are recommended?
It depends on the skin around your eyes, but a course is usually several sessions 2–4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance based on your eye-area condition.
How is the treatment performed?
Numbing cream is applied around the eyes, then the ingredient is injected with fine needles suited to thin skin. Its low viscosity is designed to spread evenly in the delicate eye area.
Isn't the eye area especially painful?
The eye area can be more sensitive, so numbing cream is applied thoroughly. If you are sensitive to pain, you can ask about MATRX conscious sedation.
What is the recovery period?
The eye area swells and bruises easily, so swelling or slight bruising may last a few days. Allow about a week before important events.
What are the aftercare instructions?
Avoid eye makeup and contact lenses on the day, and do not rub your eyes. Avoid saunas and alcohol for a few days and moisturize well.
Who should not have Rejuran i?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have inflammation or wounds in the treatment area, or have had a hypersensitivity reaction to the same ingredient, treatment should be postponed or another option considered. Please tell us about your medication and medical history during consultation. Please also tell us if you recently had surgery or a procedure around the eyes.
When will I see results and how long do they last?
Changes in eye-area texture and fine lines are usually felt gradually over several sessions. Duration varies, so maintenance intervals are set to your eye-area condition.
How long does the treatment take?
Usually about an hour including numbing; the injection itself is quick. It may take longer if combined with other areas.
The number of sessions, duration of results and recovery time vary depending on individual skin condition. Details will be explained after consultation.
